Vocational Training Week in Budapest – Welding with AR/VR
Innovation in Vocational Education: International Collaboration for the Future of Skilled Work
From November 3 to 7, Budapest hosted the international training week of the Erasmus+ KA210-VET project “Welding with AR/VR” (Project No. 2024-2-PL01-KA210-VET-000277645). The event brought together students from Hungary, Poland, and Italy to explore how cutting-edge technology can transform vocational education and prepare learners for the challenges of tomorrow.
Hands-on Learning with AR/VR Technology
The training focused on the use of Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) in welding education. Participants engaged in realistic simulations that allowed them to practice welding techniques in a safe, immersive environment. This approach not only enhanced the learning experience but also contributed to safety awareness and environmental sustainability by reducing material waste.
Learning Across Borders
Beyond the technical training, the programme fostered intercultural dialogue and peer learning. Students from different countries worked side by side, shared their perspectives, and gained insight into each other’s educational systems and professional aspirations. These interactions helped develop not only practical skills but also the soft skills essential for success in an increasingly interconnected world.
